Day 1: Arrival in Vancouver
Meet & greet at Vancouver International Airport and transfer to the hotel with a mini-tour of the city.
Check-in and champagne at Westin Bayshore or Century Plaza Hotel. Breakfast is included.

Day 2: Vancouver City Tour
Guided Vancouver tour visiting the main areas: Downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park & Vancouver Aquarium, Capilano Suspension Bridge & Hatchery (salmon hatchery) and Dundarave Park with a picnic by the sea. If time permits, feel free to visit the Museum of Anthropology (MOA) at the University of British Columbia (UBC).

Day 3: Depart for Vancouver Island
Pick up your rental car and depart for the village of Horseshoe Bay, where you will embark on the ferry to Nanaimo. Then, along the highway to Port Alberni, you will stop at Cathedral Grove, the most important redwood park of the region (additional pleasant stop at Coombs). You will arrive in Tofino in the afternoon, and check in to your accommodation in a double room at Ocean Village Resort. Enjoy a nice walk and complimentary dinner in town.

Day 4: Tofino and Pacific Rim
Today, you will set out for Schooner Cove, where you will discover the most beautiful beachcombing in the world. Children will especially love the tide pools of this magnificent Bay, spotting beautiful shells, colourful anemones and starfish. Enjoy a picnic on the beach, and in the afternoon, feel free to check out another excursion as indicated in the Road Book. Finally, take in the sunset along the West Coast Trail of Ucluelet. Dinner on own and overnight stay back at Ocean Village.

Day 5: Tofino and its Native Villages – Campbell River
Embark on an excursion by Aboriginal canoe through the bay of Tofino to Meares Island, with a barbecued salmon lunch on one of the islands. You will learn about the oldest Native community of the Pacific Rim, which is over 2,000 years old. At the end of the trip, you will head toward Campbell River where you’ll stay overnight in a double room at the beautiful April Point Lodge. Enjoy dinner own at the lodge restaurant in front of the bay (breakfast included).

Day 6: Orcas of Telegraph Cove
Early in the morning you will start off to Telegraph Cove, where you will spot the orcas of the Broughton Archipelago, some of the most beautiful in the world. After that, you’ll return to your accommodation in a restored cabin on the boardwalk with a stunning beachfront view. The rest of your day is free; enjoy dinner on own and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Depart for Port Hardy
At 7am,you will start off for a 9-hour trip to Robson Bight, located in the area of the Great Bear Rain Forest. The variety of wildlife in this area is truly unique, with many grizzly and black bears, gray wolves, bald eagles, moose, deer and otters. At sea, you’ll spot dolphins, sea lions, killer whales and various species. Among the most spectacular of sights are the bears that come up the plains of the river during this time of year. After your excursion, you will move north to Port Hardy; upon arrival, check in to your lodge or B&B.

Day 8: Inside Passage
At 7.30am, depart for the Inside Passage – the magnificent maritime passage along the stunning West Pacific Coast, between long fjords and high canyons. During this trip, you will be constantly surrounded by wonderful views and encounters with killer whales, humpback whales and sea lions. You’ll arrive in Prince Rupert at 11.30pm. Check in for your overnight stay at the Crest or Coast Hotel in Prince Rupert, with breakfast included.
* You may need to stay two nights in Prince Rupert, as the ferry departure times for Juneau vary depending on dates.

Days 9 & 10: Alaska Ferry from Prince Rupert to Juneau
From Prince Rupert, embark on the Alaska Marine Highway ferry to Juneau. The route offers an opportunity to enjoy enchanting landscapes and wildlife. You will stay in a comfortable and spacious room with outside views, and will sail for approximately 1.5 days.

Day 11: Juneau
Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation and enjoy some free time. You will then be picked up at your hotel for your excursion to Mendenhall Glacier, which you will observe from Mendenhall Lake aboard a large native canoe surrounded by spectacular nature. After the tour, you will have the rest of the day on your own to explore and then an overnight stay.

Day 12: Glacier Bay
Early in the morning, you’ll head to the airport and take a flight to Gustavus, which is considered the gateway to Glacier Bay. Then, you will most embark on a beautiful speedboat for your icy adventure, where you will observe the most important Alaskan glacier and UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. On board you will enjoy a tasty lunch while you sail under the famous glacier fronts and observe the spectacular fauna, including orcas, dolphins and sea lions. Big blue whales and humpback whales feed in the bay, and during this time of year they come from the southern seas to begin the breeding and nursing period of newborns. Lunch is included on board, and you’ll then stay overnight in Glacier Bay, in the middle of the park.

Day 13: Admiralty Island — the Bears’ Fortress (seasonal tour)
This day will be dedicated to ‘the fortress of the bears,’ also known as Admiralty Island. There are more than 1,600 bears living on this island, with the highest concentration in the world. From the docks of Juneau, you will climb aboard a seaplane, and after a one-hour flight arrive at your destination. Here, you will be accompanied by a driver/guide to observe the bears. The tour (3 – 5 hours long) is scheduled to take full advantage of observation opportunities. Afterwards, you will return to your hotel in Juneau for dinner and an overnight stay (your last night in Alaska).

Day 14: Returning to Calgary, Canada
After breakfast you’ll be transferred to the Juneau airport, where you will embark on your return flight to Calgary, Canada. At Calgary International Airport, you’ll collect your second rental car and go straight to your hotel, where you’ll get ready for the start of your Rockies itinerary that begins tomorrow. Breakfast is included.

Days 15 & 16: Banff and Banff National Park
This morning, you’ll proceed towards Banff, your first stop in the Rockies. Start your visit with The Cave and The Basin Historical Site, the oldest and most famous museum dedicated to the Rocky Mountains. Then you will head up the mountain by cable car and enjoy a scenic trip to Sulphur Mountain, which reaches almost 3000 metres high. Le Reve House will provide dinner at a restaurant marked in the Road Book, and you’ll then return to your lodge for an overnight stay with breakfast included. During your two days in Banff, you will visit the most beautiful attractions of Banff National Park and Yoho National Park, with their majestic canyons, waterfalls, lakes, mountain peaks and forests.

 Day 17: Lake Louise and Lake Moraine – The Heart of the Rockies
Set out for the day to visit the surroundings of Lake Louise, starting with the view from the beautiful Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Lake Louise is the most famous and visited of the lakes in the Rockies, and known as one of the most beautiful in the world. Begin your journey with a light hike along a path that leads from the base of the lake to the viewpoint of The Plain of Six Glaciers, a truly breathtaking panorama. In the afternoon, you can visit Moraine Lake, another wonder of this region just a few miles away. During these walks you’ll observe spectacular mountain scenery with towering peaks, especially beautiful at sunset. Late in the afternoon, you’ll proceed to the north and soon be at Crossing Resort where we have arranged your night stay. Breakfast is included.

Day 18: Icefield Parkway – Columbia Glacier
Today you’ll move northwards to discover Jasper National Park. The route will go along one of the world’s most spectacular highways, the Icefield Parkway, which serves as the backbone of the Rockies connecting all the major sights. This area is known for a large number of wild animals, including wolves, grizzlies, deer, moose and elk. We’ll start by reaching the Bow summit, and the spectacular Peyto Lake Viewpoint, which will really take your breath away! Then, we’ll reach Columbia glaciers where you will take a scheduled glacier excursion on board of the Ice Coach. This beautiful road trip will also take you to Athabasca falls, another wonder of the Rockies. Then you’ll keep on going north to Jasper, where you’ll stay in a lodge (breakfast included).

Day 19: Jasper and Maligne Lake
Today you will get acquainted with Jasper National Park, the largest park of the Rockies that stretches across 11,000 square km of wild mountain territory. Hiking, rafting and canoeing are just some of the many outdoor activities that you can participate in. One of the most fascinating excursions of the day is the cruise around Maligne Lake, which includes a trip to Maligne Canyon to view its network of underground channels, one of the natural wonders of this area. In the evening, relax in Jasper and enjoy dinner out at a restaurant marked in your Road Book. Overnight stay in at a lodge, with breakfast included.

Day 20: Return to Calgary
In the morning you’ll go south to return to Calgary, where you’ll drop off your rental car and board your flight back home.
