Our Event Travel – North West Cruises
“Even though the land where we live does not belong to us, it is part of us and we are part of it.” (From Kitilope declaration of the Haisla Nation)
The British Columbia Northern cost, with its mountains, forests, sea and fjords, shows to its visitors one of the most spectacular scenario in the world. The Great Bear Rain Forest and Queen Charlotte Islands, the Haida Gwaii (also known as the North American Galapagos) have been for years and are still now home of the Coastal First Nations population. These peoples’ history goes back in time beyond human memory.
The First Nations of the North West Coast of British Columbia have an identity made up of many distinct spiritual and cultural traditions that inhabit this whole First Nations territory to the Great Bear Forest, between the Haida Nation and the Spirit Bear.
We are proposing you some special tours, exploring the beauties of this land such as the Great Bear Rain Forest sanctuary where you will have the rare opportunity to stay in close contact with unique and special creatures of this beautiful natural environment.
You will sail towards these wonderful and particular areas along the north coast of British Columbia, on board of a beautiful ketch, the “Light of the Ocean II”, a wonderful luxury ’60s deep-sea boat, nearly 30 meters long, and equipped with everything needed to give you the maximum comfort in a cruise that can certainly be defined an event journey.
